AGEACTION AND ITS ORGANISATION

The AGEACTION Co-ordinator is Professor Tom Kirkwood, who is Director of the Newcastle Institute for Ageing and Health and President of the Biology Section of the European Region of the International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics. The Project Manager is Dorothy Bell.

Five Sector Panels each contributed to the planning of the scientific content of the conference and an authoritative position paper from each Sector Panel to form a background document for the Conference. The five sector Panels are in the areas of biology, finance and industry, medicine, social science, and technology. The summary reports and panel memberships can be found at the links below. After the Conference itself, the AGEACTION team will monitor the success of the Conference in getting its message to the relevant groups and identify ways to deliver added value from the Conference and its associated outputs.
